Gyuto Knives – Chef's Knives

A knife that can be used by everyone and for both protein and vegetables. The Gyuto, or chef’s knife, is a fantastic all-round knife. I have made this series in stainless VG-10 steel with a Damascus finish, giving it beautiful lines on the blade from the layers of steel.
A handle made of Wenge and Rosewood that works for both right- and left-handed users provides a good grip and looks incredibly beautiful.

Damascus, Damascus, Suminagashi – a beloved child has many names. These terms refer to the same forging technique, where steel is folded or layered to create a unique pattern.
Many associate Damascus steel with unmatched quality, but the truth is that the number of layers does not make the knife better – it is primarily an aesthetic detail. And what a detail! It adds an exclusive finish to any knife collection, and that is precisely why I love it.
In an industry full of buzzwords and marketing hype, I would rather give you the plain truth and share my passion for knife craftsmanship. That is why I have created the Sumi series – named after the ancient Japanese word for Damascus pattern, Suminagashi. A series that doesn’t promise magic, but delivers top-class craftsmanship.
To ensure that your knife lasts for many years, I recommend:
The Sumi Gyuto knife is made for those who appreciate true craftsmanship. Every detail has been carefully thought out to give you a knife that is as functional as it is beautiful.
