When you get an opportunity you can’t refuse
One of my friends (a blacksmith in Seki) offered me a batch of these blanks, and I couldn’t say no. They’re super cool, thin, and cut like a dream! A super cool, light, and thin santoku that I’m sure you’ll love!

I am extremely proud to offer this series consisting of Petty, Santoku, and Gyuto knives, made from stainless AUS-10 steel, which retains its sharpness for a long time. As always, I have put a lot of work into thinning the blades so that they glide effortlessly through whatever you are cutting. The knife itself is also very thin, so it is not exactly a beginner’s knife or a “beater,” but an incredibly sharp companion that will serve you well for many years! The knives in this series have a slightly more curved profile than our other knives, which is especially great if you prefer to rock the knife (rock-chopping).
The handle is made of incredibly beautiful olive wood and ebony, and I think it works fantastically well with the knives. It is octagonal and works for both right- and left-handed users. Even with wet hands, you have a super good grip.
This knife is a 170 mm Santoku, which is super nice to work with. It is a size that anyone can use, and it works especially well for vegetables. If you want to cut larger roasts, the gyuto is recommended, but as a good all-rounder, this one is awesome!
Each knife is carefully shaped, sharpened, polished, engraved, and fitted with a handle in Frederiksberg by Steffen. Impressive, isn’t it? Craftsmanship is everything for Suba Knives.
It is important to note that none of our knives are dishwasher safe. They should also not be used to cut hard materials such as frozen foods or bones, as our knives are handmade and the handles are made from natural materials, which can cause variations in color and appearance.
