Asahi is renowned for their outrageously high-quality cutting boards, and we’re incredibly proud to have been offered them directly. Ever since we received one as a gift from Asahi for the opening of our workshop, we haven’t used anything else. And now that they’ve started producing them in black, we honestly couldn’t be more excited.

An Incredibly Sought-After Cutting Board (for good reason)
When we opened our workshop in Frederiksberg, Steffen received an Asahi cutting board as a gift from the manufacturer in Japan. We’ve been hooked ever since. Especially now that they’ve started producing them in black—we honestly can’t get enough. And if anyone deserves to get their hands on one (and be just as excited as we are in the workshop), it’s you.
Parker Asahi, as the company is officially called, has chosen to produce these cutting boards under a sister brand named Wabber, which is what you’ll see on the packaging. If you’d like documentation confirming that they are made by Asahi, we’re happy to provide it.
These cutting boards have become extremely popular in the knife world, and there’s currently a lead time of more than six months from the manufacturer. So if they’re in stock, it’s worth acting fast. I do my best to keep them available, but unfortunately that’s not always easy.
This is a cutting board that’s both hygienic and easy to work with, and it’s gained popularity among a wide range of professionals—from Japanese chefs to their Western counterparts.
Made from synthetic rubber, the board is designed to resist scratches thanks to its natural ability to “self-heal” after knife cuts and marks. At the same time, it has a wood-like texture that’s exceptionally gentle on knives, helping prevent damage and keeping edges sharper for longer.
Because it’s made from hygienic synthetic rubber, the board does not absorb water and dries quickly, effectively preventing the spread of bacteria.
Sizes
The board is available in two sizes: 380 × 210 × 13 mm (Size M) and 450 × 250 × 13 mm (Size L). You’re always welcome to stop by the workshop in Frederiksberg and try it out for yourself.
The Fine Print
Wash the board thoroughly with dish soap after each use. Wipe it down and allow it to dry completely before storing. Do not put it in the dishwasher, as this may cause it to lose its shape.
If you only use one side for cutting, the board may warp over time. For best results, use both sides evenly.
